Description

Transmission electron micrograph of a crenated organelle from an untreated sac1∆ mutant cell. This image is a high-magnification zoom of the cell in CIL 40434 (40,000X). This image is part of an image group of cisternae images, CIL: 40417-40423. The contributor asks Library users to post comments regarding whether this structure is part of the Golgi Apparatus or is an immature/abnormal autophagosome.

Technical Details

This group of images contains representative whole-cell images and high-magnification zooms of organelle structures of interest. All cells were grown in liquid rich media (YPD pH6.5) at 30C with aerated shaking, and cultures were sampled in mid-logarithmic phase. Treated cells were exposed to 60µM antidepressant sertraline (Zoloft®) for 45 minutes.
