A view of a part of the oral apparatus of Conchophthirus which reveals details of cortical structure. This includes one oral membranelle and three vestibular kinities as well as cytoplasm and cortical structure. The negative magnification is 6,800X. Standard glutaraldehyde fixation followed by osmium tetroxide, dehydrated in alcohol and embedded in an epoxy resin. Microtome sections prepared at approximately 65nm thickness.
