Description

Confocal microscope image of a mouse fibroblast cell about to divide. The nuclei are stained red, and the actin and tubulin filaments of the cytoskeleton, forming the internal framework, are stained green and blue. In the dividing cell, the nucleus has split and the cytoskeleton is dismantled, but is still intact in the nearby cells. Please credit: D. Becker & K. Whitley
