Description

Early transmission electron micrograph of a thin section of the ribosome-studded rough endoplasmic reticulum of guinea pig pancreas. The ribosomes (small dots) were originally called Palade particles. Image made available by James D. Jamieson and the Department of Cell Biology, Yale University School of Medicine.
