Description

Dictyostelium discoideum (ameoba) phagocytosing budded yeast (S. cerevisiae). The amoeba is expressing mRFP-LimEdelta (labels actin filaments, red) and PHcrac-GFP (labels membranes containing phosphatidylinositol (3,4,5)-trisphosphate and phosphatidylinositol (3,4)-bisphosphate, green) Images were collected with a Zeiss LSM 510 laser scanning confocal microscope equipped with a 63x 1.4 NA DIC objective. The time series was acquired in a single focal plane at 3.94-second intervals. Pixel size is 0.14 x 0.14 microns.
